Elevator Kilns
Elevator kilns are particularly suitable for the technical ceramics industry for firing temperature ranges from 800°C to 1760°C. These kilns offer excellent temperature uniformity and are ideal for atmosphere control due to the positive sealing of the hearth to the kiln. The kiln is stationary and the hearth is raised and lowered into position by an electro-mechanical lifting device. In the most basic form, the kiln requires little floor space. If the hearth is replaced with a kiln car, multiple cars can be used for a fast turn-around of the furnace cycles. The kiln operator can execute multiple firing profiles for product flexibility. An elevator kiln is available with electric heating or natural gas burners.
