Swindell Dressler elevator kilns offer excellent temperature uniformity and are ideal for atmosphere control due to the positive sealing of the hearth to the kiln.  Our systems are achieving less than 2ppm oxygen during production firings with electric heating.
 
This type of kiln is particularly suitable for the technical ceramics industry for firing temperature up to 1760°C.  Electric heating or natural gas burners are available for elevator kilns.
 
In its most basic form, the kiln requires minimal floor space. If the hearth is replaced with a kiln car, multiple cars can be used for a fast turn-around of the production cycles.
